For pressure washer swivels, yes. However, the patented swivel design for
the air and garden hose reel swivels was not designed for field repair,
mainly because it isn’t necessary. The garden swivel comes with a 10-year
no-leak guarantee and 3 years for the air swivel . If it leaks during this
period, we’ll send you a whole new swivel. If it leaks after the warranty
period, we recommend that you simply replace it with a new swivel.

Triton garden hose reels are completely maintenance free. However, if you live in a
winter climate, be sure to winterize the reel to protect it from freeze damage.

The entire plumbing of our air hose reels consists of a two-piece assembly.
However, these two pieces (an inlet hose and brass swivel) are not sold separately
as the inlet hose is crimped onto the swivel. The Rapid Reel Upgrade kit
(part #0.2005.005) will work on reels manufactured from 1998-today. This will
include reels with a black or yellow inlet hose. We no longer offer an upgrade kit
for reels built prior to 1998 that have a blue inlet hose. You can search for a
replacement O-ring in your local hardware store, or you will want to purchase a
new air hose reel (model AR134-RR).
Yes. The brake is activated when the hose is pulled out, and then brake tension
is automatically released during rewind. Its operation is similar to that of a
clutch mechanism. The clicking sound during rewind is a result of this
innovative design.
Yes. The entire plumbing of Rapid Reel garden hose reels consists of an inlet
hose and a swivel assembly. Both items are available for purchase either
online
or by
phone. Rapid Reel used two different versions of hose reel plumbing on
garden hose reels. To view repair instructions for steel models sold prior to
April 2006,

The specs for the mounting hardware supplied with wall mount garden hose reels are as follows:
- 1/4" x 2" lag wood screws
- 5/16" x 1-1/2" anchor bolts
The tires are built with two poly bushings that the axle rides on; one on each side
of the tire. Make sure these are fully seated into the hub of the tire by pressing
on them firmly with your hand or gently tapping them with a rubber mallet or similar tool.

This is usually the result of one of the following three circumstances:
- The swivel may not be hand-tightened enough to the inlet hose.
- The rubber washer may be missing or damaged.
- A defect in the swivel.
You can trouble-shoot the first two possibilities by checking the connection between the
swivel and inlet hose. To remove the swivel, refer to the "Swivel Removal Procedure" in
the Assembly Instruction Manual. It will be located toward the end of the assembly steps.
Instruction Manuals can be viewed and download from this website if you no longer have
yours. Once you've disengaged the swivel from the reel's axle, then:
- Unthread the swivel from the inlet hose.
- Remove and check the condition of the rubber washer.
- Reinstall the rubber washer (or a new one).
- Re-tighten the swivel onto the inlet hose.
- Test the connection by turning on water before reattaching swivel to reel.
If the swivel still leaks, contact Customer Service at customerservice@rapidreel.com or 866-523-2363 (toll free).
